In 2009, the Company established the sustainability area in Brazil, which is responsible for supporting the business areas in including social and environmental factors in their strategies. One of this period’s greatest contributions was the Brazil Sustainability Framework, which was developed based on stakeholders’ inputs (customers, suppliers, sustainability experts and the internal public) in order to prioritize topics that are most relevant in our value chain.
In 2014, as part of the Company’s growth process worldwide, these topics were integrated to the Global Sustainability Framework, launched in 2015, which has guided C&A’s efforts and investments in Brazil, Europe, Mexico and China ever since.
