Apparel
Apparel refers to products made of knitwear and woven fabric, as well as denim items. Fabric types are defined based on their warp and composition. Knitwear is predominantly made of cotton, and is used for producing T-shirts, sweat suits and polo shirts, among others. Woven fabric includes satin, serge, oxford, of which are made shirts, pants and dresses, for example. Apparel also includes swimwear, with items such as swimsuits, swimming trunks and bikinis.
Most of these products are made in the South and Southeast regions. Most of the production units that make knitwear items are located in Santa Catarina, followed by São Paulo. The are also units in the states of Rio de Janeiro, Minas Gerais and Paraná. Shirts, for example, are also sourced from units in Paraguay and Peru. This category employs over 17,000 people, of which approximately 70% are women.

Footwear
Our footwear line includes shoes, sneakers and sandals. There are many footwear complexes in Brazil: in Rio Grande do Norte; Birigui and Franca, in rural São Paulo state; and Minas Gerais. C&A sources from these regions the footwear it sells in its stores and on its E-commerce platform.
| Women’s footwear comes from the state of Rio Grande do Sul. Kids’ and men’s footwear come from Birigui and Franca, respectively. Sports sneakers are sourced from the city of Nova Serrana, in Minas Gerais. We also have suppliers in the Northeast region, in the states of Ceará, Bahia, Paraíba and Pernambuco. More than 42,000 workers are involved in the production of these items, 60% of which are men and 40%, women.

AccesoriesAccessories include lingerie (panties and bras, for example), underpants, socks, caps, bags, belts, jewelry, eyeglasses and stationery, which includes notebooks and diaries. We source these products mainly from suppliers in the states of São Paulo, Paraná, Rio de Janeiro and Ceará. More than 13,000 jobs were created to produce these items, and the workforce is composed of approximately 70% women and 30% men.
